Number of people getting address social aid increases by quarter in south region of Azerbaijan

The state address social aid (ASA) was granted to 4,410 families of registered 7,500 families in Lankaran, south region of Azerbaijan, Sarraf Heydarov, head of regional labor and social protection of population center, said on Jan. 26. Their number increased by 26% compared to 2007.
"In 2008 monthly payment of ASA totaled 391,400 manat in Lankaran," Heydarov said.
It was refused to render ASA to 123 families (629 people).
"In 2007 the number of families getting ASA totaled 3,500 in Lankaran, head of the center said."
On Jan. 26, the official exchange rate is 0.8052 manat to $1.
