Bank Standard to continue lending

Bank Standard will continue issuing loans. Terms will not be changed, Bank Standard First Deputy Chairman Javid Guliyev said on Feb 12.

"The bank will continue lending. We have clients who have already received loans and corporate clients who want new ones. We issue loans if the requests comply with our lending terms and policies," Guliyev said.

Bank Standard issues all types of loans raging from mortgage to automobile lending. The bank issues loans through its own funds ranging up to 150,000 manat for up to 5 years at a 15-18 interest rate, he said.

"We don't plan to toughen our lending terms," he said.

Bank Standard issued a total of 394.4 million manat in loans in 2008.

Mortgage lending hit 13.6 million manat, a 3-million-manat increase from 2007.

Automobile lending reached 56 million manat, a 2.5-million-manat increase from 2007.

On Feb. 12, the official exchange rate is 0.8065 manat to $1.
