Azericard processing centre plans to cut tariffs for plastic card services, said Azericard Client Services Department head Jahangir Mammadov.
"We have launched talks with partners and are ready for the proposals from Azerbaijani and overseas banks," said Mammadov.
Mammadov did not specify how much the tariffs will be changed.
"Azericard is cooperating with Russian, Georgian and Uzbekistan banks. We plan to extend our activities. We will offer our services in Dubai in near future. Therefore, cur of tariffs is relevant now," he said.
Time of tariff cuts depends on negotiations with Azericard partner banks, he said.
Over the past three years, number of plastic cards issued by banks in turnover has hit 3.3 million, a 700-percent rise; number of ATMs has hit 1,400, a three-percent rise; number of POS-terminals has hit 6,000, a tenfold rise.
On Feb. 13, the official exchange rate is 0.8062 manat to $1.
