Kazakhstan advanced 20 positions in the world rate on human development, the Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said in his speech regarding national population census.
The country faced great changes for ten years passed after the first population census. Kazakhstan advanced 20 positions in the world rate on human development. According to UNESCO, Kazakhstan ranks the first place on education development among 129 nations," Nazarbayev said.
Kazakhstan's economy strengthened on the market positions. Sudden change occurred in the demographic situation, birth rate increased, welfare of the population strengthened. Incomes increased five times for ten years, he said.
"Presently, it is important to know qualitative parameters of Kazakhstan's human potential. Due to population census we hope to get precise information about changes occurred in our citizens' life.
The world crisis, impacted Kazakhstan, envisages radical renewal of all sides of society's life, Nazarbayev said.
"People must revive, we need creative individuals," President said.
Very important and crucial action, such as population census will begin in Kazakhstan from Feb. 25. It is the second population census which Kazakhstan conducts within years of independence.
