Date for next certification of appraisers in Azerbaijan announced

The next certification of appraisers will be held after three months, the International Financial Corporation (IFC) Working Group member on development of appraisal activity, member of the Azerbaijani Appraisers Society Nusrat Ibrahimov said on April 8.

"Consultants of the working group will develop a certification program for local appraisals for further certification of those willing within three months," Ibrahimov said.

The first certification of appraisal activity was held in Azerbaijan in March. Then, Elchin Samadli (Bilender appraisal company), Anvar Samigulin (Azintelektservice) and Nusrat Ibrahimov (MBA Group) passed certification. Certificates were approved by signatures of the Azerbaijani Appraisals Society, IFC and the Russian Appraisals Society.

Pilot exams are held within the IFC program to develop mortgage in Azerbaijan and Middle East jointly with the Azerbaijani International Appraisals Centre and Appraisals Society.

Ibrahimov said that the second pilot exams will be attended by representatives of State Real Estate Register Service, National Bank, insurance banks and companies and etc.

The exams will be held in two days. Minimum 5 people must participate in the exams.

The first exams were attended by nine appraisers, including Igor Artemenkov and Khamid Mammadjanov.

The Appraisal Activity in Azerbaijan is regulated in accordance with the adjusted law, which was adopted in 1995.
