"Georgia is ready to begin talks with Russia on the opening of checkpoint Verkhniy Lars immediately, but no information has been by Moscow on this occasion," Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze told journalists.
After Russia has notified the Embassy of Switzerland about the end of repair work at the check points and asked to ascertain the views of the Georgian side on the resumption of negotiations in connection with the discovery of the item, it has received a positive response from Tbilisi.
"But Moscow has take no further steps. We look forward to further developments," Vashadze said.
