Georgia to design identification mark for its wines

Georgia plans to design identification mark for wines produced in the country. It will enable to easily recognize the product on international markets, Georgia's Agriculture Minister Bakur Kvezereli said.

"Consultations are underway both with wine-makers and distributor companies," the minister said.

He said identification mark can be a flower or some type of script. It is being designed at the moment.

Kvezereli said this step aims to promote Georgian wines abroad.

It will not cause fall in cost of Georgian grapes.
