Highest cargo transit rate among CIS countries has been repeatedly registered in Kyrgyzstan, the Interstate Statistical Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States reported.
In general, CIS volume of transported cargos reduced by 20 percent for five months of 2009. Therewith the Kyrgyz cargo transit rate increased by 7.4 percent compared to the same period of 2008, "24.kg" reported.
However, Kyrgyzstan's cargo turnover decreased by 7.8 percent for the period. In general, the rate decreased by 22 percent in CIS countries. But Tajikistan has succeeded in improvement of the cargo turnover rate by 10.7 percent in 2009.
