International Association of Exchanges of CIS countries took into account situation under the organization of its activity in 2008-2009. It directed efforts to assist members of the association to overcome crisis at organized financial markets. It was stated during general meeting of International Association of Exchanges of CIS countries held in Saint-Petersburg (Russia) on July 2. Manager of Baku Interbank currency exchange Farkhad Amirbekov participated from Azerbaijan.
"Trade systems were modernized in informational, organized assistance of the asocialtion. Actions were made to develop ways to ease sharp market fluctuations. Regular exchange of urgent information was established with the help of Internet website between members of International Association of Exchanges of CIS countries," exchange said.
Results of work of the association were considered at the meeting of International Association of Exchanges of CIS countries. Report on results of its financial-economic activity and conclusion of revision commission was approved in 2008. President of the Kazakh Stock Exchange Kadirzhan Damitov was elected to the staff of International Association of Exchanges of CIS countries.
International Association of Exchanges of CIS countries was established in Moscow in April 2000 to coordinate efforts on development of organized financial markets in accordance with the international standards. International Association of Exchanges of CIS countries includes 20 organizations from 10 CIS countries playing key role in mutual financial turnover, operations with currency, state securities, shares of enterprise.
