The Bilgah-Sumgayt highway, the reconstruction of which was inaugurated by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on Sept. 24, will pass via the sea coast, through the lower part of the Baku settlements of Nardaran and Pirshagi, the Ministry of Transport of Azerbaijan said on Sept. 26.
Bilgah, Nardaran and Pirshagi are suburban settlements of Baku. The total length of the highway is 39.6 km.
