Homeade gas devices do not meet safety requirements: state committee

The State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents concluded that the bulk of gas appliances sold to the public do not meet safety requirements. The committee launched the next round of regular monitoring today.

The statement added that accidents are due to poor gas equipment and ignoring operating rules.

The devices sold do not have quality certificates or technical passports in Azerbaijani, it added.

When the committee discovers such devices, it bans their sale and removes them from stores.

However, the sale of substandad domestic gas appliances continues.

The committee also noted that quality certificates have been issued to the brands: Termet (Poland), Moro-Top (Czech Republic), Bayvak, Kuturami (Turkey), Roka (Italy), Jahan Afrooz, Qaynar Xezer and Soreh-Tos (Iran).
