The Polish Embassy held the Poland-Turkmenistan consultations in Warsaw in May, 2009. Polish President Lekh Kachinskiy and Turkmen President Kurbankuli Berdimohammedov met at the UN General Assembly. Both presidents expressed hope for further development of bilateral relations on the diplomatic, trade and economic levels.
