Kazan Helicopter Plant delivers two helicopters to Turkmenistan has put

OAO Kazan Helicopter Plant (Tatarstan ) delivered  two MI 17-1B helicopters, spare parts and consumables for the total amount of $22.8 million to Turkmenistan.

Based on the Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov's decree, the State National Service Turkmenhavayollari (Turkmenistan Airlines) signed an agreement with the Russian company.

MI-17-1B applies to the VIP class. The maximum flight range is about 600 kilometers at speeds up to 230 kilometers per hour.

Turkmenistan plans to use them for aerial inspections during exploration and agricultural field work, in the air ambulance and freight.

The Kazan Helicopter Plant produces aeronautical engineering from the 1940's and exports them since 1956.

The company is a certified plant for the production and repair of all types of helicopters Mi-8/Mi-17. The reliability of the Mi-17 is confirmed by more than 50 million flight hours, the company reported.
