The Ukrainian Donbass Corporation, one of the world's largest metal manufacturers, plans to invest $10 million in the Poti industrial zone in Georgia, Georgian Ambassador to Ukraine Grigol Katamadze said.
The Donbass Corporation was founded in 1995 and is one of the largest corporations in Central and Western Europe. Annually the corporation produces 10 million tons of metal.
The total investments in the Poti free industrial zone amount to over $200 million. The zone covers 300 hectares and is situated on the historic Silk Road, which links the East and West. The zone will consist of business centers, goods storage complexes at warehouses, and numerous other business facilities.
According to Katamadze, a number of other Ukrainian companies are also interested in the zone.
