TRACECA prepares for investment forum

The Transport Corridor Europe Caucasus Asia's (TRACECA) Permanent Secretariat will prepare for its first investment forum in Brussels on Oct. 12.

Preparations will also be made for the eighth annual TRACECA conference on Oct. 13, TRACECA National Secretary from Azerbaijan Akif Mustafayev told Trend today.

Mustafayev added that the organization will discuss reforms, projects and preparations for the forum during an upcoming meeting in Kiev on Oct. 11. Traditional issues such as membership fees and next year's budget will also be reviewed.

The results of the Kiev meeting will be sent to member countries for review by their national secretaries.

"All of the issues will then be discussed and agreed upon by the national secretaries," he said.

A project to build an international logistics center in the International Sea Trade Port in the village of Alat outside Baku will be discussed at the forum.

TRACECA's member states are Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Moldova, Romania, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Ukraine and Iran.
