Azerbaijan's state budget yield hit 25 percent of GDP for 10 months

The public budget income comprised 8418,3 million manat (25.9 percent of GDP) increasing by 0.9 percent in Jan.-Oct. 2010 compared to the same period of last year, the government said.

The state budget expenditures increased by 6.5 percent and amounted to 7643,8 million manat (23.5 percent of GDP).

The Taxes Ministry remitted 3621,8 million manat, or 43 percent to the public budget. The State Customs Committee remitted 9.8 percent or 827,6 million manat, other sources - 47.1 percent or 3968,9 million manat.

About 1671.2 million manat were received from VAT during the reporting period. It hits 19.9 percent of total income, profit tax - 1302.6 million manat (15.5 percent), income tax - 472.8 million manat (5,6 percent), excise tax - 395.1 million manat (4.7 percent), property tax - 58.7 million manat (0.7 percent), taxes on mineral resources - 107.9 million manat (1.3 percent) , tax on foreign economic activity - 236 million manat (2,8 percent).

About 1006.6 million manat (with a specific gravity of 13.2 percent) were spent from the budget to social security and protection of the population in the January-October, education - 861.9 mln manat (11,3 percent), health care - 318.1 million manat (4,2 percent), maintenance of the prosecution, security, law enforcement bodies, judicial authorities - 488.5 million manat (6,4 percent), investments in the economy - 2883.2 million manat (37.7 percent). About 158.7 million manat (2,1 percent) of the total investments were spent for housing and utility costs, agriculture, forestry and fishery - 293.7 million manat (3.8 percent), transport and communications - 37 million manat (0,5 percent).

About 31.4 percent (2,396.4 million manat) of public expenditures were spent for salaries, pensions and benefits
