Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov called for monitoring the global demand for cotton fiber today.
The Turkmenpagta state concern was instructed to implement the plans for the cotton production of cotton.
The contractual obligations were fulfilled in 2010. About 1 million 300,000 tons of cotton instead of the planned 1 million 50,000 tons were collected.
The country has 35 cotton mills in Turkmenpagta.
