The second meeting of the working group on trade and economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region will be held in Urumqi in the first half of 2013, the protocol adopted at the first meeting said.
The first meeting of the working group was held in Baku on July 11.
"The date of the meeting will be agreed upon in diplomatic channels," the protocol says.
Both sides considered and summarized the current state of trade and economic relations between Azerbaijan and Xinjiang, as well as appreciated the state of relations during the first working meeting.
The sides stressed the importance of organizing and conducting trade and economic forums, and contributing to the development of bilateral trade.
The sides held detailed talks and came to joint decisions. They will assist in establishing contacts in such areas as trade, investment, energy, cooperation in agriculture, transport, customs, finance, cultural exchange, tourism, health, and promoting regional cooperation.
