Azerbaijani-Iranian joint trade house will be opened in Baku in the near future, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Metallurgy of Ardabil Province Hussein Pirmuazin said on Tuesday, ISNA news agency reported.
"I was recently in Baku in order to negotiate the opening of the house. We have achieved positive results and in the near future, the house will be opened with the participation of the head of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Metallurgy of Iran," said Pirmuazin.
According to him, Iranian-Azerbaijani trade center will also be built in Baku in order to develop bilateral economic relations. "A land plot has already been allocated in Baku for the construction of the center," said Pirmuazin.
Pirmuazin did not name the exact address of the future trade center, but said that it will be built in a crowded place.
According to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, over the first seven months of 2011, the trade turnover with Iran amounted to $195.06 million, an increase of 55 percent compared to the same period of last year.
