Azerbaijan studies and applies advanced international experience in the social sphere. Therefore, Austria's experience is of immense interest, Azerbaijani Labor and Social Protection Minister Fizuli Alakbarov said at a meeting with Austrian Federal Minister of Labour, Social Affairs and Consumer Protection Rudolf Hundstorfer today.
The Austrian delegation headed by the country's President Heinz Fischer is in Baku from Oct. 11.
At the meeting, Hundstorfer expressed his willingness to share experience in this sphere, which can contribute to regular meetings and exchange of views.
The sides discussed cooperation prospects in the sphere of employment policy and within programs concerning the labor market, social assistance to various segments of the population, disability policy, and addressing the socio-medical problems of disabled people.
The meeting stressed necessity of preparation and signing of a memorandum of understanding.
Following the meeting, a protocol was signed.
