Some 3274.9 million from all financial sources manat was invested in the development of economic and social areas in Azerbaijan in January-April, which is 24 per cent more than the same period last year, the State Committee on Statistics of the country said.
Some 1883.5 million manat has been invested in the construction and installation work which represents 57.5 per cent of total investments. Some 1.641 billion manat was invested in the construction of production orientation facilities, non-production facilities - 1633.9 million manat.
Some 74.7 per cent of the total capital expenditure fell to domestic investment. Most (71 per cent), domestic investment is embedded in state-owned enterprises and organisations.
Some 32.3 per cent (1057.2 million manat) of the capital is invested in the funds directed to the oil sector, 67.7 per cent (2217.7 million manat) to developing the non-oil sector, including 10.3 per cent (335.8 million manat) in the non-oil industrial sector.
At the same time 42.5 per cent of investments accounted for industrial areas, 5.1 per cent - agriculture, 1.7 per cent - trade, 16.4 per cent - transportation and warehousing, 3.1 per cent - communication and information, 2.4 per cent - health care, 2.6 per cent - education, 8.3 per cent - real estate transactions (of which 8.1 per cent - housing), 5.5 per cent - leisure, entertainment and culture, 4.3 per cent - government, 1.9 per cent - financial and insurance activities, 2.5 per cent - construction, 1.6 per cent - the scope to provide administrative and support services, catering and tourism - 2.1 per cent.
Some 1582.1 million manat (48.3 per cent of total investments) is invested in the capital funded by businesses and organisations, bank loans - 186.2 million manat (5.7 per cent), budget funds - 1324.5 million manat (40.5 per cent), off-budget funds - 91.9 million manat (2.8 per cent), personal funds of the population - 79.5 million manat (2.4 per cent) and other sources - 10.7 million manat (0.3 per cent).
