Turkmenistan expects a significant increase in profitability of pharmaceutical industry due to the increase in exports of pharmaceutical products, which in turn will increase the country's foreign exchange proceeds, the Vatan newspaper reported on Tuesday.
Within fulfillment of the state program on the development of the pharmaceutical industry for 2011-2015 new industrial facilities will be built and the existing will be reconstructed.
Today construction of a plant for the production of infusion solutions, the reconstruction of the pharmaceutical company "Saglyk" and construction of its new production buildings is underway.
Also work is underway for the construction of a number of facilities and their equipment, including disinfectants producing facilities in Abadan, facilities for the production of disposable antiseptic dressings - adhesive plasters in Dashoguz, as well as facility for mineral water production in Berzengi.
Another two plants will be built in Balkan Province: for the production of disposable iodine stick in Bereket region and packaging of medicinal clay and sea salt in the village of Jebel.
Over the past ten years the total cost of construction of health facilities in Turkmenistan amounted to more than $1.5 billion.
