Annual inflation hits 9.19 percent in Turkey

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Turkey increased by 9.19 percent in September 2012 compared to the same month in 2011, the Turkish Statistics Institute's website reported. Inflation hit 1.03 percent in September compared to the previous month.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Turkey increased by 9.19 percent in September 2012 compared to the same month in 2011, the Turkish Statistics Institute's website reported.
Inflation hit 1.03 percent in September compared to the previous month.

Compared to the same month of 2011, the CPI increased by 18.88 percent in September in the alcoholic beverage and tobacco goods sector, by 10.39 in food and soft drinks sector and by 9.74 percent - in the restaurant and hotel business.

The highest increase in consumer prices - 2.26 percent - was observed in spheres of various goods and services, 2.14 percent - in the alcoholic beverage and tobacco goods sector,1.65 percent - transport, 1.54 percent - communication.
