As of Jan.-Sept., the Azerbaijani metallurgical industry produced products and rendered services worth 341.8 million manat, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee said today.
Amount of production in metallurgical industry increased by 16.6 percent, finished metal products during this period increased by 70.5 times.
Some 164,100 tons steel casting were produced in Jan.-Sept., steel pipes - 47,300 tons.
Amount of production of iron casting reached 746 tons, which is 2.8 percent more than the same period of 2011.
Amount of export of semi-finished products made from ferrous metal totaled 93,100 tons (to the amount of $50 million), which is 39.1 percent (in monetary terms - by 29.8 percent) less than the same index of 2011.
The amount of exported pipes made from ferrous metal hit 31,800 tons (to the amount of over $30.5 million), which is 51 percent (in monetary terms by 55.3 percent) less compared to the same period of 2011.
