Azerbaijan, Baku, Nov. 2 / Trend /

Following the successful integration of bmi into British Airways, October 28th marked the launch of the new winter schedule and the official return of British Airways to Azerbaijan.

During the winter schedule the airline offers travellers daily flights to London which are well timed with an easy transfer between Terminals 1 and 5 for connecting flights.

Paolo De Renzis, Area Commercial Manager for the Middle East and Central Asia, said: "The start of the winter season marks an important milestone in the successful integration of bmi into British Airways' operation and signifies our official return to Azerbaijan. We look forward to serving customers from the Azerbaijan market once again with daily flights between Baku and London."

British Airways has a history of flying to Azerbaijan - operating to the country for more than six years from 1995. Customers flying between Baku and London will now enjoy the levels of service for which British Airways is renowned.

As part of the integration, all A321 aircraft serving the route will also be upgraded. Passengers will benefit from refurbished, contemporary cabins, new seating for improved comfort, and the latest on-demand, in-flight entertainment technology. The refresh will be complete by end of the year.

Customers from Azerbaijan will continue to fly in to Heathrow T1, while flying with British Airways will mean they have access to a wide range of UK domestic routes, as well as a network of more than twenty destinations in the US and Canada. The airline offers a smooth and seamless transfer experience at London Heathrow, where the minimum connection time between T1 and T5 is 90 minutes.

With its partners in the oneworld alliance, British Airways offers a global network of hundreds of destinations, seamless customer service, and shared benefits for frequent flyers.

A full timetable of British Airways' flights to London and other destinations is available online at ba.com - where the lowest fares are guaranteed - and customers can book, pay and check-in online for their flights.
