Iranian exports hit $48 billion mark

Iran exported some 48 billion dollars' worth of goods and technical and engineering services during the past Iranian calendar year which ended March 19, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade said on a televised interview on Monday.

Iran exported some 48 billion dollars' worth of goods and technical and engineering services during the past Iranian calendar year which ended March 19, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade said on a televised interview on Monday.

Technical and engineering service exports accounted for four million dollars of the abovementioned amount, Masoud Mvahedi said, IRIB News Agency reported.

"Iran also imported some 60 billion dollars' worth of goods during the past year," he added.

It was reported on November 28 that some 38.63 million tons of non-oil goods (excluding gas condensates) worth 19.7 billion dollars were exported from Iran during the first seven months of current Iranian calendar year which began March 20.

Iran also imported 23.54 million tons of goods worth 31.7 billion dollars in the aforementioned period, the IRIB News Agency reported.

Iran plans to exports 51 million dollars' worth of non-oil goods and technical and engineering services by the end of current year.
