Deputy Chairmen of State Communication Committee appointed in Uzbekistan

Uzbek President Islam Karimov has appointed two deputy chairmen of the State Committee for Communications, Information and Telecommunication Technologies.
Alisher Faizullaev and Sherzod Shermatov were appointed as deputy chairmen. Previously, Faizullaev held the position of director of the scientific and technical and marketing research centre unicon.uz and Shermatov worked as chief inspector of the department under the president's office.
It was previously reported that the State Committee for Communications, Information and Telecommunication Technologies has been transformed from the Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information (UzACI) in October this year.
Khurshid Mirzakhidov heads the committee. He has been holding the post of director general since February 2012. Earlier, he was operating as UzACI first deputy general director.
Makhsum Makhmudov was appointed as the first deputy chairman of the committee. He has been operating as director general of the Uzbektelecom Company since 2010.
Miradil Sangilov was appointed as deputy chairman of the committee. He has been operating as UzACI deputy director general since 2005.
