Azerbaijan masters almost 55 percent of WB loans

Azerbaijan had held negotiations with the World Bank (WB) on 56 projects by Jan. 1, 2013. A loan agreements worth $3.122.3 billion were signed to finance them, the government's report as of 2012, presented to the parliament, said today.

At present, around 36 projects worth $ 894.1 million were implemented. Around 20 projects amounting to $2.228.2 billion are being implemented. As of January 1, 2013, WB loans worth $1.714.1 billion, which is 54.5 percent of the total amount of drawn loans, were used. In 2012, Azerbaijan used 393.4 million manat of the delivered loans.

Besides these loans, WB delivered 44 grants worth $ 41.37 million to Azerbaijan in 1995-2012.
