The State Securities Committee (SSC) of Azerbaijan is working on new requirements for the issuance and placement of securities, the head of the State Committee's department of registration of securities Elnur Allahverdiyev said.
"The State Securities Committee is preparing a series of laws and regulations, including new requirements for the issuance and placement of securities, including during the reorganization of open joint-stock companies," Allahverdiev said.
According to him, the main work in this direction is connected with the preparation of the new draft law 'On Securities', which is currently under consideration by the Government, and the development of regulations for the law's operation.
"Regulatory framework is also being updated under the World Bank's project on the modernization of the capital market and the EU twinning project (the partner country - Poland)," Allahverdiev said.
