Head of the Azerbaijan-Turkish Industrialists and Business Association (TÜSİAB) Murat Bakir was re-elected chairman of the association for the next term, a TÜSİAB press release published on Monday says. The elections are held every year.
According to the press release, the event is dedicated to the 19th meeting of TÜSİAB board members which took place the day before and was attended by the Ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan Ismail Alper Coshgun, member of Milli Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan Musa Gasimli and the head of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan (NCEA) Mammad Musayev.
According to Musayev's speech at the event, thanks to the activities of Turkish businessmen trade turnover between Turkey and Azerbaijan grew to $4.5 billion. However, the main purpose of the two countries is to bring the total annual turnover to $10 billion, Musayev said.
The event also approved the composition of TÜSİAB board members. In addition, members of the association's disciplinary committee were also elected.
