Turkish company to build international university in Turkmenistan

The Turkmen Education Ministry will sign a contract for the construction of the International Turkmen-Turkish University for 3,000 students with the Turkish company "5M Insaat Tekstil Ithalat Ihrajat Sanaýi Tijaret Limited Sirketi".
The corresponding decree was signed by Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. According to the document, construction will begin in May 2013 and the commissioning of the university will be in August 2015.
According to the presidential decree, the university will serve to strengthen the material and technical base of educational institutions, raise awareness amongst young people, as well as transform the architecture of the capital.
Around 600 companies with Turkish capital have been registered in Turkmenistan. The Turkmen-Turkish trade turnover volume increased by 52 percent, reaching $ 3.5 billion in 2012.
