Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Indonesia may reach $300 million by late 2013, Vice-Minister of Economy and Budget Planning of Kazakhstan Timur Zhaksylykov said in Kazakh-Indonesian Business Forum.

"There is a significant growth on trade turnover. We consider that it is due to the growth of exports of oil and gas products to Indonesian market. In 2012 the trade turnover constituted about $65 million. During the first six months of 2013 this indicator increased to $150 million. If the trend continues, we will reach to $300 million in late 2013," Vice-Minister said.

According to him, since 1993 Kazakhstan and Indonesia have developed reliable and mutually beneficial relations. In June 2013 the countries celebrated 20th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations.

"Since early 2013 the export constituted $129.2 million, increasing by 6.2 times compared to the first half of 2012, and import constituted $21.3 million with increase of 16.4 percent. From 1997 to 2012 inflow of direct investment from Indonesia to Kazakhstan's economy constituted $500 million," Zhaksylykov noted.
