On Thursday, within the framework of Kazakh-Turkish business forum, SB Sberbank and Turkuaz group of companies and KATIAD signed a memorandum of cooperation in Astana.
The documents were signed by board chairman of SB Sberbank Alexander Kamalov, president of Turkuaz group of companies Sari Tayfun and president of KATIAD Zeki Pilge.
"Sberbank and Turkuaz are old partners. And signing of the memorandum of strategic cooperation with Turkuaz group of companies is a serious step for strengthening of our bilateral relations. SB Sberbank intends to actively support the projects of Turkuaz, thereby contributing to the development and strengthening of economy of the two republics," board chairman of SB Sberbank Alexander Kamalov said.
"Close business relations between the businessmen of our countries have big potential for progress and Sberbank will make every effort to ensure that this cooperation is the most convenient and efficient", he added.
In turn, president of Turkuaz group of companies Sari Tayfun mentioned that Turkuaz all over Kazakhstan in state-significant facilities, such as Aktau International Airport, Museum of the History of Kazakhstan and many others.
"It is important for us to have reliable and strategic financial partner. I am confident that our cooperation will bring a lot of interesting, socially and economically important projects for Kazakhstan", Tayfun noted.
President of KATIAD Zeki Pilge said that the acquisition of the largest bank in Turkey - DenizBank has created favorable conditions for the opening of a new direction International Desk in the Kazakhstan's Sberbank, which in turn, paved the way for a strategic partnership and the signing of the MoC.
"I am confident that this agreement will boost closer cooperation between KATIAD members and Sberbank on the full range of our activities," Pilge said.

KATIAD was established by Turkish firms, operating in Kazakhstan, in 1995. Membership in the organization is voluntary. KATIAD members can be created Turkish firms operating in Kazakhstan and the Kazakh representative companies registered in Turkey. To date, the Company includes more than 200 companies.
