Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company will export 1,500 tractors to Iraq, ISNA quoted the company's managing director Abolfath Ebrahimi as saying on January 11.
Iraqi officials have put in a request for buying 1,500 tractors from the company, he added.
The export-bound tractors worth around $12 million, he stressed.
The company has exported 3,658 tractors so far in the current Iranian year (started on March 21, 2013), he said.
In November 2013, the chairman of Iran-Iraq joint chamber of commerce Jahanbakhsh Sanjabi said that the value of the trade exchanges between Iran and Iraq stood at $6.2 billion in the first half of the current Iranian calendar year.
"Iran's exports accounted for $5.6 billlion of the mentioned amount," Sanjabi said. "Exports of non-oil goods to Iraq amounted to $3.06 billion, showing 26 percent rise year on year."
"Some $878 million worth of goods were also transited via Iran to Iraq," Sanjabi added.
"Iranian companies have won bids in Iraq to carry out over $800 million worth of technical and engineering projects, such as building dams, bridges, residential complexes, power plants and medical centers," he said.
