Some 4,670 tons of cattle on a live weight basis in the amount of $12.15 million were exported from Georgia to Azerbaijan in January-April 2014, the Georgian National Statistics Service said on May 23.
The share of this category in a total volume of Georgian exports to Azerbaijan during this period totaled 6.45 percent, according to the report.
The export volume of cattle from Georgia to Azerbaijan decreased by 11.64 percent in January-April 2014, while in quantitative terms - by 0.680 tons compared to the same period of last year.
For comparison, some 5,350 tons of cattle on a live weight basis were exported from Georgia to Azerbaijan in the amount of $13.75 million in January-April 2013.
The goods worth $188.45 million were exported from Georgia to Azerbaijan in January-April 2014. The exports to Azerbaijan declined by 9.83 percent compared to the same period of 2013. For comparison, Georgian goods worth $208.99 million were exported to Azerbaijan in January-April 2013.
