SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) intends to sell 3.4 percent of its 61.32 percent share in the Turkish Petkim petrochemical complex, Turkish newspaper Buqun reported Feb. 4.
The shares estimated at 34 million Turkish liras will be put up for sale. BCM Global Fund Ltd has already expressed its willingness to buy the shares.
The shares will be put up for sale February 5.
Petkim Petrokimya Holding produces plastic packages, fabric, PVC and detergents. It is the only Turkish producer making such products, a quarter of which the company exports.
SOCAR's stake in Petkim is 61.32 percent.
The official exchange rate is 2,4194 TRY/USD Feb. 4.
