Azerbaijan’s metallurgical industry and enterprises, manufacturing finished goods from metal, produced goods worth 173.6 million Azerbaijani manats (1.5631 AZN/USD on July 19) in H1 2016, said the country’s State Statistics Committee in a report.
The report says that the volume of production in metallurgical industry increased by 5.5 percent, output of finished goods – by 9.4 percent during the period.
In January-June 2016, the country produced 31,100 tons of steel pipes (growth by 75.8 percent during the year), 120,000 tons of fittings (decrease by 7.9 percent during the year), 162,000 tons of founding products (growth by 42.1 percent) and 1,300 tons of cast-iron products (growth by 7.3 times).
Azerbaijan exported 121,400 tons of ferrous metal worth $44 million in H1 2016 that is by 13 times more than in the same period of 2015.
