The State Committee for Tourism Development of Uzbekistan plans to attract German company Autobahn Tank & Rast Gruppe GmbH & Co. to improve the country's roadside tourism infrastructure.
The relevant negotiations took place last week in Bonn, Germany, Podrobno.uz reports with reference to the committee.
Representatives of the German company will soon visit Uzbekistan to study on-site opportunities to invest in the creation of service areas, or transfer on a franchise basis design solutions, management systems and other know-how to local partners.
Furthermore, the creation of service zones stipulates construction of roadside, filling stations, markets, cafes and snack bars, as well as the installation of ATMs and entertainment machines.
As another area of partnership, the sides considered the issue of transferring the Sanifair sanitation system to the Uzbek side for filling stations, railway stations and shopping complexes.
Autobahn Tank & Rast Gruppe GmbH & Co. was founded in 1951 and is Germany's leading company in the construction of facilities for the provision of roadside service. Since 1998, the company has invested over one billion euros in this service sector. Currently, throughout the country, the company provides services at 390 gastronomy facilities, 350 gas stations, 210 car parks and 50 hotels.
