President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov got acquainted with the work being carried out at the glass factory, the most important production facility, whose products are in great demand in the construction industry, the newspaper Neutral Turkmenistan reported on Jan.10.
Last December, it was reported that the new glass factory in the central region of the country - Akhal velayat (region) is being tested. The project is carried out within the framework of state import substitution and export-oriented programs.
In January 2016, it was reported that the Turkish Terek Türkmen Inşaat ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi is building the factory for the production of quartz sand used as the main raw material and the glass plant in Ovadandep in the Derzinsky etrap (area) of the Akhal province (region) of Turkmenistan.
This project is designed to produce seven types of glass products, including transparent and tinted, laminated and tempered glass (4 mm thick) for the manufacture of windows and double-glazed windows with a total volume of 7.2 million square meters per year, 85 million units of various transparent and colored glass containers for drinks, vials for medical preparations in volume from 0,3 to 3 liters.
