Kazakhstan-based company eyes to up electric vehicles production

Kazakhstan’s SaryarkaAvtoProm LLP automobile plant plans to produce 500 electric vehicles worth over 7.5 million tenge in 2018, said the Deputy Director for Technical Development of SaryarkaAvtoProm LLP Sergey Mogilatov.

According to Mogilatov’s message, last year the SaryarkaAvtoProm LLP produced a trial batch of electric vehicles of the Chinese JAC brand.

"Based on the results of testing, we decided to launch the Jac iEv7S model into mass production. In 2018 we plan to produce 500 electric vehicles of this brand," said Mogilatov, Kazakh media reported.

In general, the production line of JAC brand is big - this year it is planned to produce at least 3,000 cars of this brand.

"We will mainly produce the JAC S3 and the JAC S5 crossover models as well as the JAC passenger car range, the JAC T6 pickup, the A60 sedan and electric vehicles and the JAC N-series medium-duty trucks with lifting capacities of 3.5 to 8 tons," Mogilatov said.

He added that the car factory continues to work on increasing the export trade. In 2018 the company will export nearly 1,000 vehicles to Tajikistan.
