Kazakhstan increases grain exports

Kazakhstan exported 4.9 million tons of grain in 2017, which is 7 percent more than in 2016.
Over the past year, export of Kazakh wheat has increased to 3.9 million tons against 3.8 million tons in 2016, according to the Customs Control Committee of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan.
The volume of barley exports of the country in 2017 reached 897,000 tons (25 percent more than in 2016).
With an average yield of 14.4 c / ha, Kazakhstan produced 22,094 tons of grain in 2017.
The largest grain producers of the country are the North-Kazakhstan region (5 627 500 tons in the mentioned period), Kostanay region (5,225,300 tons in the mentioned period), and the Akmola region (5,123,900 tons in the mentioned period).
