A ceremony of signing of memorandums of understanding between the Indian PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Confederation of Azerbaijani Entrepreneurs, as well as between the PHD and the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) took place in Baku on March 13.
The documents were undersigned by Secretary General of the Indian Commerce and Industry Chamber Saurabh Sanyal, President of the Confederation Mammad Musayev and AZPROMO head Rufat Mammadov.
The documents were signed within the framework of the Azerbaijan-India Business Forum and are aimed at expanding and strengthening the economic and trade ties, as well as business relations between the two countries.
According to the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee, the trade turnover with India in 2017 amounted to $462.5 million. The export from Azerbaijan to India over the past year amounted to $365.5 million. The legal framework between the countries includes more than 20 documents.
