Kazakhstan, China to launch new renewable energy projects

Kazakhstan and China concluded an agreement on cooperation in renewable energy projects, using Kazakh domestic solar cells, the press service of Kazakh Invest JSC said in a message.

The trilateral agreement was signed between Kazakh Invest, the French ECM Technologies company and the Chinese CEEC-NWPC International company.

The agreement envisages not only the production of a full cycle of solar cells, but also the construction of turnkey stations.

“This project will involve French technologies, the experience of building turnkey stations of the Chinese enterprise. Investments of the Chinese companies in the construction of solar stations in Kazakhstan will amount to $300 million, which will be attracted with the participation of NPWC and Chinese financial institutions,” said the press service.
