Kyrgyzstan lifted restrictions on the import of poultry meat and poultry products from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz media reported referring to the State Inspectorate for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Safety of Kyrgyzstan.

The inspectorate noted that the decision was made based on Kazakhstan's confirmation of the results of laboratory studies of the National Veterinary Reference Center on the stabilization of the epizootic situation.

Temporary restrictions on the import of poultry meat and products from Kazakhstan were introduced in Kyrgyzstan on October 8. Later, Kazakh Agriculture Ministry called illegal the restrictions on the import of poultry meat and eggs from Almaty and North Kazakhstan regions.

"No bird diseases have been recorded in the Almaty region over the past 10 years. Quarantine on the Newcastle disease of birds declared in the Aiyrtau District of North Kazakhstan region was lifted on September 19, 2018," the message by the ministry said.
