Banking Ombudsman in Azerbaijan may expand scope of activities

The scope of activities of the Banking Ombudsman in Azerbaijan may be expanded, the Secretary of the Banking Ombudsman Elchin Hasanov told Trend Oct. 22.

He noted that at the moment, the issue of increasing the upper threshold of the amount of complaints to $3,000 is being studied.

Today, the Banking Ombudsman considers the complaints regarding the credits amounting to $2,000.

The Banking Ombudsman in Azerbaijan started activities in September 2017.

To date, 23 banks and one non-bank credit organization have agreements with the Banking Ombudsman of Azerbaijan.

The Banking Ombudsman in Azerbaijan is Ikram Karimov.
