The Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan calls for the creation of an innovative business ecosystem, which will facilitate the introduction of technologies into traditional agriculture, Kamran Hagverdiyev from the Department of Innovations and Development of the Agriculture Ministry told Trend.
He noted that the ecosystem also implies the rational use of new energy sources in Azerbaijan.
"Along with many other innovative projects, we, together with the Ministry of Energy, are preparing for the largest event of the year dedicated to agriculture and green energy - AgTech and Green Energy Forum - which will be held on Dec. 10-11, 2018 in Baku," he said.
Hagverdiyev noted that the forum is designed to support and promote development of the innovative entrepreneurial ecosystem.
“The AgTech and Green Energy Forum will cover important topics for development of the agriculture sector, agriculture technologies and green energy," Hagverdiyev said.
According to the ministry official, foreign experts, government officials, representatives of the private sector and startups are expected to attend the event.
