Export volume of goods ordered through e-commerce from Ukraine to Azerbaijan grows by 10 percent annually, Ukraine's national postal operator, Ukrposhta, told Trend on Nov. 12.

The representative of the operator underlined that export is one of the priority areas of Ukrposhta’s activities.

“Ukrposhta is actively engaged in guiding small and medium-sized exporters towards business expansion. We operate the E-Export School, where Ukrainian manufacturers learn to advertise, sell and deliver goods to international markets. We are also actively promoting sales to Azerbaijan,” the rep said.

According to the information, a special tariff for e-commerce mailing items to Azerbaijan has been in effect since March 2018, provided that the sender has signed an agreement with Ukrposhta, in accordance with which the client can receive up to 40 percent discount depending on the amount of the shipment.

In August 2018, a regular seminar was held at the E-Export School, dedicated to the sale of goods from Ukraine to Azerbaijan.

The representative of the operator noted that special tariffs with various foreign postal operators make it possible to offer the best conditions for e-commerce and stimulate international trade.

In January-September 2018, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Ukraine amounted to $517.41 million, of which $202.46 million accounted for exports from Azerbaijan and $314.95 million for imports from Ukraine.
