The Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources of Turkmenistan will sign an additional agreement with Uzbekistan’s Uzsanoateksport JSC to the contract for the purchase of a big cargo of agricultural machinery and equipment, the "Neutral Turkmenistan" newspaper reported.
The corresponding decree was signed by Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The main contract was signed in March 2017. At the same time, the Turkmen state-owned concern Turkmenkhimiya signed a contract with Uzsanoateksport JSC for the purchase of 30,000 tons of phosphate fertilizers.
Uzsanoateksport JSC was established in 2015.
The main functions of the company include assisting companies engaged in mechanical engineering, metallurgy, textile and agricultural industries, building materials industry and other industries in the promotion of their products for export.
Turkmenistan grows cotton, wheat, rice and sugar beet.
