Kazakhstan's trade turnover with EEU up

Kazakhstan's trade turnover with the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union has increased by 6.2 percent, Kazakh National Economy Minister Timur Suleimenov said, Trend reports via Kazakh media.

"Kazakhstan has been a member of the Eurasian Economic Union for the fifth year. The implementation of the basic agreements on the free movement of goods shows positive results of mutual trade between the EEU states," he said.

Thus, according to the announced data, the trade turnover of Kazakhstan with the EEU countries continues to increase and amounted to $17.1 billion in the first 11 months of 2018, an increase of 6.2 percent.

In particular, exports rose by 10 percent to $5.3 billion, while imports increased by 4.6 percent to $11.8 billion.

"There is a growing investment flow from the EEU countries. According to the results of the three quarters of 2018, the investment flow from the EEU countries increased by 31 percent from $941.5 million to $1.2 billion," Suleimenov added.
