Iran's mining complexes increase production

Production in 3 Iranian mining complexes has exceeded 1 million tons during the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), Trend reports referring to the website of the Iranian Mines & Mining Industries Development & Renovation (IMIDRO).

According to the report, an increase in production in Iran’s Anguran, Mehdiabad and Nakhlak lead and zinc complexes of has been observed.

About 881,700 tons of mining material was obtained from Anguran lead and zinc complex in 10 months, which shows an 18-percent increase in comparison to the figure same period last year (namely 745,300 tons).

Similarly, some 111,300 tons of mining material was obtained from Mehdiabad lead and zinc complex in 10 months - a 104 percent increase from last year’s 54,600 tons.

The output of Nakhlak lead complex for the same period was 56,700 tons, which is a 71 percent increase from last year’s 33,100 tons.

The Anguran lead and zinc complex is located in Iran’s Zanjan Province, being the largest lead and zinc production complex in Iran and the Middle East. The Mehdiabad lead and zinc complex is located in Yazd Province, and Nakhlak lead complex is in Isfahan Province.
